The Creative Concepts Difference
Where expert care meets collaboration, connection and compassion, right in the comfort of your home
Choosing the right partner for dementia care is an important decision. You want someone who understands your challenges, has the expertise to guide you, and truly cares about your family’s well-being. That’s exactly what we provide.
The Creative Concepts Difference—10 key reasons our program is uniquely designed for people with cognitive changes and their care partners.
1. Dementia Care Specialists. This is our focus—not a sideline. Your care is research-informed, personalized, and designed for cognitive changes.
2. Consistent, trusted care. You’ll work with the same therapist each visit, building trust and a plan that fits your life.
3. Personalized Sessions. We meet you where you are—whether learning new strategies or adapting to changes—so you always feel supported.
4. In-Home Convenience. No travel, no waiting rooms. Familiar surroundings make therapy more effective.
5. Roadmap for Success. Here you won’t find a generic plan of care. We use a proactive approach to minimize daily challenges, promote safety and independence along with meaningful engagement.
6. Care Partner Support. You’ll gain practical tools to ease stress, strengthen connections, and keep your loved one at home longer.
7. Whole-Picture Understanding. We assess both client abilities and care partner needs, so everyone feels prepared and confident.
8. Community Connections. We link you with local resources and support networks that extend help beyond our sessions.
9. Holistic Care. From safety to meaningful activities, we look at the whole person—and the whole family—to improve quality of life.
10. A Strengths-Based Approach. We focus on what’s possible, keeping minds active and engaged to maximize function and joy.
Your cognitive & dementia care specialist serving Sun City Center, FL
&
the South Shore area of Hillsborough County.
I know all too well the challenges that people with cognitive changes and their loved ones face when searching for a provider who truly understands, knows how to address specific problems, and genuinely cares about real outcomes.
As an advocate for my own family members who needed very specific care, I discovered how severely our healthcare system falls short—especially in quality rehabilitation and care. Cookie-cutter, piecemeal approaches simply do not work. Yet, far too often, that’s exactly what people are offered.
’ll never forget speaking with so-called “specialists” who told me they did not work with occupational therapists—while still calling their approach “thorough.” I was stunned. Even more troubling, I learned long ago that many traditional therapy programs leave out interventions backed by solid scientific evidence. I discovered this more than 20 years ago… and even now, too many clinicians are still not using comprehensive approaches to care-whether rehabilitative or compensatory.
Navigating a broken system for my loved ones taught me one thing: if people with cognitive challenges & dementia are going to live life to their fullest—doing the things that matter most to them—someone has to step up.
That’s why I created The Mind In Motion Program and launched Creative Concepts in Occupational Therapy—to bring compassionate, evidence-based care right into your community.

living your best life.
That's why we developed the Mind In Motion Program.
With the Mind In Motion Program, we focus on three essential areas that help families face cognitive changes with confidence and clarity. Each one is designed to support both the person living with dementia and their care partner—because success comes from working together.

Changes in thinking and memory often affect movement, balance, and safety. That’s why we integrate physical strength and flexibility into every care plan. By keeping the body strong, we help:
Prevent falls and injuries
Make daily activities like bathing, dressing, and moving around easier
Support energy and stamina for both the person with dementia and their care partner
When the body stays active, confidence grows—and daily life feels more manageable.
Every family’s situation is different. To provide the right support, we first assess:
The current abilities of the person with cognitive challenges—what they can do independently, what they need help with & if they're able to learn
The readiness and capacity of the care partner—how confident and supported they feel in daily caregiving tasks
This dual focus ensures strategies are realistic and effective. We never hand you a “cookie-cutter” plan. Instead, we create solutions that match your loved one’s abilities and your caregiving capacity—so success feels achievable, not overwhelming.
Uncertainty is one of the hardest parts of dementia care. Families often ask: What should we expect? What do we do next?
That’s why Mind In Motion provides a personalized roadmap that:
Builds on strengths and interests to keep life meaningful.
Offers practical strategies for current challenges, whether the focus is restoring lost skills or compensating for them.
*DID YOU KNOW? Some people with cognitive challenges can learn new skills & improve memory!
Prepares you for what’s ahead, step by step

Together, these three pillars—strength & flexibility, abilities & readiness, and a roadmap for success—create a program that keeps families moving forward, connected, and confident.
Changes in thinking and memory can become more overwhelming without support.
Care partners often feel more stressed and isolated when they don’t have guidance.
Delaying help may mean missed opportunities to strengthen abilities and maintain independence.
Early support gives families more tools, more confidence, and more meaningful time together.
Getting help early can make the difference between just coping and truly living with confidence and connection.
